Christmastime
Christmas is one of the major topics covered on this blog. I love everything about Christmas and that's reflected in some of the things I spend time including in my online diary here. From 'Vintage Christmas' finds to our trees to the kids Christmas Train to my little Mantleburg, here's a look at some of the highlights (can I call them highlights??).

Our Front Yard Christmas Tree Tradition
Since we celebrated the first Christmas in our new family home in 2009, we've adopted the Elmhurst tradition of putting up a 'front yard tree' and decorated it with the bigger C9 bulbs.

Our Front Yard Christmas Tree Tradition
Since we celebrated the first Christmas in our new family home in 2009, we've adopted the Elmhurst tradition of putting up a 'front yard tree' and decorated it with the bigger C9 bulbs.
- Our 2016 edition of the Front Yard Christmas tree in our 'temporary' home
- First holiday in *not* our house (thanks Sis!) with a front yard Christmas tree
- At the time, we didn't know that 2014 would be our last Christmas in our old house. Here's our front yard tree with a lot of snow and our blowmold Santa/reindeer, too!
- In 2013, Google+ animated snowy pictures with snow. Our front yard tree post from 2013 includes that 'faux snow'.
- No snow in 2012's photo.
- In 2011, we had a nice-looking front yard tree. But no snow!
- 2010's tree was a beaut! Slim, but oh so pretty covered in snow.
- 2009 was our first one of these trees. This post includes the full backstory - or as much as I could find at the time. Can't imagine a Christmas season without a yard tree now. No matter where we're living!
- For 2016, we went back with the traditional Fraser Fir. But it was still at my Sister and Equation Boy/Man's house.
- We either under-estimated or just subconsiously opted for a tiny tree. Whatever happened, it was small. And it was a Douglas Fir. Not what we normally buy.
