Meet Jake Parrillo

As a senior communications marketing, external relations and public affairs professional, Jake Parrillo brings a unique approach and real results to companies, candidates, products and brands.

Jake Parrillo was born on the south side of Chicago and raised in Frankfort, Illinois.  He attended Lincoln-Way High School and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign in May of 2000.  Jake also received his Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2010.

While at the U of I, he majored in Speech Communications and was a punter (backup punter!) on the University of Illinois Fighting Illini football team.

He's a proud father of three amazing kids (2 girls, 1 boy) and a devoted husband to the most wonderful wife in the world.

During his career, he spent time working in politics and government (and even peddling drywall screws with his first job out of college) before joining the team at FeedBurner in 2005.  In 2007, FeedBurner was acquired by Google and Jake spent more than six years working there in the Global Communications and Public Affairs group.

Jake joined Edelman in Chicago as a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Affairs group in 2013.

He became an Executive Vice President at Edelman in the Corporate Affairs and B2B Marketing practice in 2017.   You can keep up with his b2b marketing writing on the Edelman B2B hub or on his dot mba site.

Jake and family currently live in Elmhurst Downers Grove, Illinois.   But you'll find them down in Walt Disney World as often as they can make a trip.  Less so these days, thanks to the crazy costs involved.

Jake's hobbies include pizza making and gardening - and you can find plenty of both written about over the years here on "Why I Oughta...".
A note about this blog:

None of the enterprises, companies and organizations mentioned or referenced her as my employer(s) (including Edelman; my current employer) are responsible for anything you see on this Website.

Also, this blog has been published since early 2004 - and contains two decades-worth of writing, musings, photos, ideas and general nonsense.  Two decades of stuff that popped into my head and spilled out via my keyboard.  That means that MANY of the posts and what-have-yous that you may come across on this Website may not reflect my current thinking, current views or even the ways I would talk about or write about the topic or idea today.
In addition to checking out the blog here, you can keep up with Jake around the web:
