This Year's Jack-o-Lanterns - November 2025

We've officially transitioned from the 'kids-draw-on-pumpkins-but-I-make-the-cuts' to 'On-their-own' phase of pumpkin carving.  Three kids, three different Jack-o-lanterns.  They're all great in their own unique ways.  The easy one to guess is the KotBT's pumpkin, right?  The other two are easy to guess - if you know the girls.   I've posted about pumpkin carving for years on the blog including this Mickey the Mouse carving that Nat did back in 2012 .  13 years ago.   We used to be pretty creative (If I do say so, myself) including these Owl pumpkins from 2013 .

That's the "Alien pig Queen" on the top courtesy of the Bird. A scribbled-on two-eye and a heart (drawn by his sister) guy faithfully sawn based on some of the drawings of the King of the Ball Tossers. And....a masked guy as created by the oldest one - The Babe. Unlike in past years, these have stayed inside our front porch, not on the outside porch.   Here's a post from back in 2014 showing the ways I have kept them free of squirrel bites .
