Randall Park Neighborhood - Downers Grove
Located south of the BNSF and Metra train tracks and in between Fairview Avenue and Main Street in Downers Grove is the Randall Park Neighborhood. The neighborhood is bound by 55th Street on the southside along with Patriot's Park and Barth Pond.

Spooky Season in the park:
Barth Pond at Patriot's Park provides some beautiful views, fishing, a half-mile walking trails, a playground and plenty of open space. The park name was created from what sounds like a vote from the residents in 1976 - and named Patriots Park to "honor the men & women who fought for freedom".
The pond is a little bit over five acres and serves in a storm water retention/detention capacity. From the Downers Grove Park District site:

The 5.8-acre Barth Pond was constructed in 1978, as a joint venture with the Village of Downers Grove. The pond was originally developed to serve as a storm water detention facility, but also serves as a popular fishing spot.
