World's Columbian Exposition Seal - Historical Ephemera Example - February 2026
Recently, I have been thinking one of the signature moments in Chicago's history: The World's Columbian Exposition. The Chicago's World's Fair in 1893. Plenty has been written about it , but it continues to be a source of fascination for plenty of people - including myself. There are tons of posts/videos/thoughts about the architecture and the permanent/not-permanent nature of the structures. The structures were built to be temporary. That's why they're not around any longer. (Aside from MSI). That's interesting of itself.
