More Dahlia Tubers For 2026 - Longfield Gardens - November 2025
Welp, dahlia tuber FOMO has struck again. A few days ago, I showed off my Bonny Blooms tuber order and talked about some of the new (to me) dahlias. And, earlier this month, I posted about how the marketing emails and TikToks and Instagram posts about tubers were getting me antsy about dahlia tuber ordering. In that post, I showed a number of dahlias that I thought I'd like to try to grow from various growers. Those growers included Bonny Blooms. And, Triple Wren Farms. And...the place that I've bought my dahlia tubers in the past: Longfield Gardens.
I've had pretty good luck with their tubers - with one (Maarn) being a dud. They stood by their warranty and sent another set of Maarn Tubers (after the first ones refused to sprout), but the second set were duds, too.
In my first dahlia tuber FOMO post, I included a list of some dahlias that others had recommended. And, in the Longfield Gardens section, I listed a handful of their dahlias that were on my 'want list'. Those included some Ball Dahlias, Pompon Dahlias, Decorative Dahlias, Collarette Dahlias and Waterlily Dahlias.
One of the nice things about Longfield Gardens website and product listings is that they have an 'out-of-stock, but notify me' box that you can fill-out. So, over the course of the past year, I've occassionally wandered onto their site to look at various tubers. If they were currently sold out, I filled out that form.
So, when this arrived in my inbox recently, it was...go time. First, it was just this one email (below) for Great Silence Decorative Dahlia tubers.
And...then 16 more emails just like one arrived. I had signed up to be notified about 17 different dahlias. That's....too many.
But, the whole "We have a limited quantity available for puchase and are sold on a first come first serve basis." thing rattled me. And, I quickly started to fill my cart.
I ended up buying five (5) new to me dahlias. One from each category: Decorative, Ball, Pompon, Waterlily and Collarette. Here, below is my order:

Here's a look at each of these.
Great Silence. 36" tall. This is how they describe it:
These pretty, two-tone flowers remind us of dahlia American Dawn. From a distance the color reads as peach, but up close it's an unlikely combination of rose-pink and gold. Different and surprisingly beautiful! Blends well with purple, orange, yellow and burgundy. The 4 to 5" flowers have dark, slender stems.
I bought a pair of these.

Jowey Winnie. Also 36" tall. I like that. Here's how they describe it:
Dahlia lovers owe a debt to Belgian flower breeder Jozef Weyts, who has introduced some of the loveliest, most reliable dahlias on the market. Jowey Winnie’s flowers are a scrumptious blend of dusky pink, peach, and mango, with a touch of plum in the center. The plants are vigorous and highly productive, pumping out tons of long-stemmed flowers all season long."Most reliable"? Love that.

Burlesca. 2" flowers. 40" tall. Here's how they describe it:
This adorable little dahlia may look pink at first glance, but what makes Burlesca so special is the way it also pulls in hints of peach, burgundy and violet. This makes it an excellent bridge flower for mixed bouquets. Like other pompon dahlias, the tight, 2" flower heads are durable and long-lasting. A must for any cutting garden.
Creme de Cognac.

I went back and forth on which Waterlily to 'add to cart', but ended up on this one. It is moody in color. (my words). It gets 40" tall. Here's how they describe it:
Be among the first gardeners to grow this new dahlia here in the US. Creme de Cognac has the same dark accents that make Crème de Cassis so stunning, but this variety is a warmer blend of butterscotch, copper, peach and rusty red. The 3-4" flowers are perfectly formed and a must for fall arrangements.

Kelsey Annie Joy. This is a collarette that has colors that work a little bit better with my other blooms than Pooh.
This collarette dahlia will delight you all summer long with its cheery, sun-loving flowers. The color of the blossoms varies depending on weather and location, varying from peach and apricot to pale yellow and gold. A ring of contrasting inner petals adds texture and charm. Popular with bees and butterflies, and a fun addition to any summer arrangement.
It is short. 26" tall. That would be VERY different from what I have been getting with Pooh Collarette Dahlias this year.
Sandra.
Franz Kafka. 2" flowers.
Maxime. 36" tall.
Diva. 36" tall.
Sweet Love. 40" tall.
Karma Prospero. 48" tall.
Crème de Cassis.
Onesta.
There's always next year, right?
